Google Cheat Sheet

Problem: Many students simply copy and paste information they find in their Google search, without processing or retaining the answers.

Solution: Google Cheat Sheet – a new add-on that helps kids use Google in a way that can actually improve their test scores. After their Google search is complete, with a simple click of a button, Google uploads the results onto their own personalized cheat sheet for future review. While studying their past results, students can then edit and delete questions, as well as mark the questions that they deem more difficult than others. In addition to the cheat sheet, the test calendar encourages students to upload upcoming test dates. That way Google can then remind students to study with the help of course tags and key word searches.

Goals: Our goal is to help students remember the research they do online. Google “Cheat Sheet” is a new add-on that allows students the chance to save the questions and answers they search online.

Digital DBOMB Magazine

Project Introduction:

After I finish editing the print version of DBOMB magazine, I want to involve more interactive elements to make traditional publication more attractive. The exploration of digital publication adds a lot of fun to the magazine. Interactive devices like ipad help implement functions which print publication cannot achieve, like panorama, video and controlling of slideshows.

Project Introduction:

This magazine is about popular designers’ interviews. I chose six popular designers from different fields: typography design, photography, visual art, and book cover design.  DBOMB magazine has been selected in the 2016 edition of Port City Review, SCAD’s annual literary art journal.

Target Audiences:

The high quality pictures are worth collecting for not only graphic designers but also for someone who is interested in art and design. The creative and elegant artworks in the magazine are also good inspirations for exploration and life style.

Design Process:

"D bombing is when you walk up to a girl on the dance floor and start kissing her without warning." I get the inspiration from the word and try to have the same effect as D bombing when people read the magazine. I created the magazine logo by myself. I finished the magazine on my Typography Practice class when I studied in SCAD. I fixed the layout for six times before finishing.
